Terms of use

Last updated: August 2025

These are the terms for using CEO Mode (ceomode.co) and working with Aligned and Unlimited Consulting. I've written this in actual English because life's too short for legal gibberish.

What I do and what I don't

I provide business coaching and advisory services to consultants, coaches and digital experts who want to scale without losing their minds. This includes:

– One-to-one coaching and consulting

– Group programs and masterminds

– Access to my private community (Circle group)

– Strategy calls and business advice

– Resources, templates and frameworks

What I don't do: guarantee you'll make millions (see liability below), do the work for you, provide therapy (I'm a business coach, not a therapist), or work with people who don't do the work.

How we work together

The "not a hostage situation" policy. Sometimes things don't click. Maybe we're not aligned, maybe the timing's off, maybe you thought I was someone else entirely.

If, inside the CEO Mode Accelerator or 1:1 Advisory program, either of us realises after our first call or within 10 days of starting that this isn't working, we can part ways with no drama and no questions asked. I'll refund your money, because keeping someone hostage to a contract when it's not working is just bad karma. This has never happened, but I want you to know the escape hatch exists.

– My commitment: I'll show up prepared, give you my best thinking, and tell you the truth even when it's not what you want to hear.

– Your commitment: show up, do the work, and be coachable. I can't want your success more than you do.

– Minimum engagement: my programs run for a minimum of 6 months, because real change takes time.

Payment and cancellation

Payment terms:

– Payment schedules are agreed individually (no cookie-cutter pricing here)

– Payments are processed through Stripe

– Late payments may result in program suspension (I'm nice, but I'm not a bank)

Refunds: I don't do traditional refunds, because this is high-touch consulting, not a digital course you can return like a sweater that doesn't fit. However, the "not a hostage situation" policy covers the first 10 days; if we mutually agree to part ways mid-program and you've paid upfront, we'll sort out a pro-rata refund; and if I have to terminate services, payments stop but there are no refunds for time already spent.

Cancellation notice: 30 days from you, please, because I plan my schedule around our work together. I'll usually give 30 days too, unless you're being abusive, in which case it's immediate.

When I can end our work together

I reserve the right to terminate our working relationship immediately if you:

– Are rude, aggressive or abusive to me or my team

– Consistently don't show up or do the work

– Generally behave badly despite clear boundaries

I'll communicate issues first, but life's too short to work with people who make it unpleasant. If I terminate for these reasons, payments stop but there's no refund for time already invested.

Community guidelines

If you're in my Circle community, here are the ground rules:

– Political hot takes: we all have different backgrounds and views. Before launching into debates, ask yourself whether this is helping you build your business. Spoiler: it probably isn't.

– The "ask-hole" problem: don't ask questions just to get approval or permission. You're a business owner, start thinking like one. When you ask for advice, share your instincts first.

– General decency: support each other, don't hijack other people's posts with your own agenda, celebrate wins without being weird about it, and ask thoughtful questions rather than lazy ones.

– Sharing and tagging: if you share something useful, tag the person who helped you. Basic human decency.

Intellectual property

My content:

– My frameworks, resources and content belong to me

– Feel free to share my blog posts or videos, but include a link back to my site

– You cannot resell, repackage or claim my work as your own

– Recorded coaching calls stay private (shared via Fireflies links in the community only)

Your content: what you share in coaching stays confidential. I might use anonymised examples or case studies, with permission. Your wins are your wins. I'll celebrate them but won't claim credit.

The karma clause: don't steal or copy my stuff. Apart from being wrong, part of you will always know you didn't build your success yourself. The whole point is to become self-made. Start as you mean to go on.

Call policies

– Strategy calls: if you no-show a free strategy call, I won't chase you. I'll wait 15 minutes max, then I'm moving on with my day.

– Client calls: no-shows forfeit the session. Cancellations and reschedules need 24 hours' notice minimum. I'll wait 15 minutes, then mark it as a no-show.

– Technical issues: if Zoom explodes or your internet dies, we'll reschedule. I'm not unreasonable.

Results and liability

The truth about results: business is hard. The case studies and results I share? Those people worked incredibly hard. They had experience, skill, and often received high levels of personal attention that you might not get in group programs.

Bottom line: I cannot and do not guarantee results. Your success depends on implementing the right information on top of a foundation of alignment, skill, and actually doing the work.

– What I'm not responsible for: your decision to ignore my advice, market conditions beyond anyone's control, your inability to execute, acts of God or internet outages, or unrealistic expectations.

– What I am responsible for: showing up prepared and professional, giving you my best thinking, being honest about what's realistic, and providing the frameworks and guidance you need.

Legal stuff

Jurisdiction: if something goes legally sideways (which it won't), UK law applies and any disputes get sorted in London courts.

Severability: if one part of these terms becomes unenforceable, the rest still stands. Basic common sense.

Changes to terms: I might update these occasionally. If I make significant changes, I'll let you know rather than hoping you'll check back here obsessively.

The bottom line

These terms exist to set clear expectations and protect both of us. I want to work with people who are serious about building their businesses and treat this relationship professionally.

If you're looking for guarantees, quick fixes, or someone to do the work for you, this isn't the place. If you want straight-talking advice, proven frameworks, and someone who'll hold you accountable, welcome aboard.
